Watch The Trailers
Wolverine. Who
knows how many more movies that can be worked by pointing to his character as
the central figure. The first film and the second X-Men has been focused to dig
into the past of Wolverine while there is a spin-off was created in 2009, which
tells about his days before he joined the X-Men. With the success of the movie
X-Men: First Class in the year 2011 and the comic fans are wondering why there
should be more of a movie about the mutant claws need to be made? It seems even
the 20th Century Fox studio was not sure of the fate of the film so that one
priority was to meet the constraints and the change of director Darren
Aronofsky to James Mangold. Finally in 2013 the film is entitled only simple:
The Wolverine was released.
After the events
in X-Men: The Last Stand Logan has parted ways with the group X-Men and was
traveling alone. Death of Jean Grey in her hands still haunt his dreams every
day even in isolation from the outside world. At the time the offer from a
friend a long time coming: Yashida. When up in Japan, Logan discovered a
different world from the mutant normally but also very dangerous: the world of
the Yakuza. Here Logan acquainted with the members of the clan Yashida
including grandson beautiful girl: Mariko Yashida. After the death of his
grandfather Logan felt strange to him: the healing power of not functioning
optimally.
In the midst of
his flight with Mariko, Logan must face various problems ranging from ninja
attacks, to whom ignorance to believe, and even he is no longer immune from
attack as before. In the end this makes Logan should ask himself: "What is
the meaning of eternal life? When he had it if it means eternal life is a curse
or a blessing should he waste that he can use as much as possible? ".
From the
synopsis above I think you know that this is different from the Wolverine movie
before. The Wolverine is a movie that emphasizes the drama and the inner
struggle within the mutant than the action scenes are stylish to look at her
cut here and there. Directed by James Mangold more subtle Japanese wanted to
show a different situation once with a local locations known by Logan normally.
It does not mess around; regardless of Hugh Jackman and Svetlana Khodchenkova
who plays mutant viper all the main actors who play a role in this film come
from different parts of East Asia there. When you go into the cinema and this
is expected as usual superhero action movie then you will come out with a
disappointed look on his face. Conversely if you know about the history of the
franchise X-Men and Wolverine on the big screen in the paper itself, the script
by Christopher McQuarrie worked keroyokan, Mark Bomback, and Frank Scott is the
best Wolverine story that was adapted to the big screen. Please visit here
For a row of its
own cast Hugh Jackman as Logan look perfect / Wolverine. There is no actor who
has committed himself to the world as a superhero and there may never again in
the future. Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine seven times on the big screen
(and there is still the possibility of counting) and it's becoming a figure
that has been attached to her ingrained. Jackman once again shows the depth of
skill to a Wolverine figure who vacillate between guilt and wants to stay
alive. Logan here with the precision shown in the beginning of the film: he
lost. And Jackman play it perfectly.
I also want to
give a round of applause to the newcomer Tao Okamoto beautiful girl. Her
performance as Mariko Yashida was very fitting. His figure is graceful and pure
alloys fitted with Logan. If there is someone who could help Logan of the track
in the self-destructive it is certain that Mariko in this movie. His role
reminds me a bit much to Koyuki in The Last Samurai. Unfortunately for the two
main female leads inside Yukio less than perfect. There is nothing wrong with
Rila Fukushima role here; which one is the scenario that was never explained
Yukio motivation. To whom is actually loyalty? Yashida? Mariko? Logan? Lack of
motivation and background make her figure so Yukio less memorable.
Music composed
by Marco Beltrami in this film is the biggest weak point throughout the film. I
feel Beltrami failed to make authentic Japanese music to be infused into this
movie. Similarly, the heroic music that underlie ordinary superhero characters
were absent in this film. Practical music in this movie fall into something
memorable. This is very disappointing considering the fact Mangold has
conclusively establish the Japanese setting. If only the Japanese style of
Beltrami music can help immerse the audience into the land of the rising sun
would be perfect again.
