Watch The Trailers
I rarely watch
programs on TV talent show for one reason: I do not have the heart. If no
contestant is eliminated I usually come to empathize and feel sad with them so
rather than join depressed every time they watch the talent show I decided to
not have to follow it, be it American Idol, The X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent,
or any variance diverse variants. That is why the story of an Opera singer Paul
Potts who won Britain's Got Talent first escaped from observations.Paul Potts since a young man has always been the target of bullying his friends as a strange hobby. Just think what the hobby of young children in the UK? Maybe play games Atari / Nintendo? Or follow the sport of football? Even if they taste it not their favorite music at the time (remember the 1980s) was Elton John and his colleagues? But not for Paul Potts. For Paul Potts love for him is only in Opera and music-the music. If others listen to the song Uptown Girl then listen to the song Paul Potts Vesti La Giubba, Celeste Aida, and the songs 'magic' that is rarely heard other people.
Moving into
adulthood Paul Potts instead of leaving his hobby but, amid the disappointment
of his father and mother support, even more-so deep into the world of Opera. He
dreamed of becoming a singer and have the opportunity to learn directly from
Opera singing legend: Luciano Pavarotti himself. Supported by the majority of
his time girlfriend whom he only talked via SMS Paul also went to Venice, Italy
to pursue his dream. Did Paul proving to people that always mocked him that he
will be successful career in the world of music? And what will happen then led
to Britain's Got Talent?.Please visit here
For those of you
who like true stories of an underdog who rose to prove his talent then One
Chance would be a neat spectacle. Paul Potts became famous in the era before
YouTube videos became as famous now so fair name is not as well known as a
singer until Britain's Got Talent breakout third season: Susan Boyle. Potts
here played by British actor James Corden Potts featuring the figure of the shy
and not confident with either. While stand-alone Corden is actually not
memorable chemistry by Alexandra Roach who elevate the film as a whole.
Alexandra Roach
plays Julie-Ann Cooper, a girlfriend who later became the wife of Paul Potts in
the real life and the chemistry between the two parties is directly visible
from the moment the two met. This film has decreased due when Paul had to learn
on their own in Venice, but returned to find the value of their magical when
Paul returned to the United Kingdom to continue dating until her marriage to
Julie. Julie here portrayed as a girl who is very supportive and likable and
Roach portray the figure perfectly. Casting right here. Roach does not have a
super pretty face style of the American artists. His face was normal but
gradually grows on her beauty. In the middle of every distress and calamity
that must be faced by Paul in his life (and this really happened), Julie became
a rock for both. For other supporting characters I really like with Mackenzie
Crook as friend Paul. He often became a scene stealer with comedian!
I deplore the
potential of this film to achieve emotional moments maximally disrupted by
directing David Frankel who play it safe here. Whenever there is a
confrontation going on this movie always trying to reduce levels of tension by
slipping moments of slapstick humor was good or not. As a result of the many
moments that could potentially end up just one: the quarrel between Paul and
his father, who actually realized its potential. It reminds me of another
British film: Unfinished Song. Both played too safe but both have a strong
chemistry between the two main leads.
So my conclusion
is ... although you may not like the music Opera try to give this film a
chance. Average of the Opera music shown here is actually the Opera music that
'light' and relatively mainstream. Moreover, not all the music Opera. There are
some pop music here including ending song: Sweeter than Fiction which brought
the sweet Taylor Swift.
