Watch The Trailers
Ip Man ...
again? I was shaking at how many movies Ip Manyang has emerged since this
character popularized by Donnie Yen in the film in 2008. After watching The
Grandmaster produced by Wong Kar Wai (and for the record I hated that movie) I
feel that the story of the hero's Wing Chun is too all-out dug until they had
to create fictional stories in it. Now Ip Man: The Final Fight supposedly will
tell about the old days in his life in Hong Kong.
This story is
told by Ip Chun, son of Ip Man, which until now the most popular and
often-cameo cameo in the film about his father. The story begins in the setting
after Ip Man 2 Ip Man with sense now already have a school in Hong Kong there.
Although the west still dominate Hong Kong Hong Kong threat in itself actually
comes from the conflict between the Chinese people themselves. Why? After the
invasion of Japan and the fall of the Chinese economy a lot of rich people
decided to escape to Hong Kong including Ip Man himself who lost much of his
fortune when the invasion occurred.
In Hong Kong Ip
Man came and separated from their immediate family but found a new family in
the form of Wing Chun disciples of his. In the solitude Ip Man finding a woman
named Jenny who is close to him. From here begins the days of Ip Man is filled
with loneliness but also with serenity. When it comes the threat of illegal
underground fight still be able Ip Man to show ability in his last fight?
Despite the
sub-title The Final Fight actually this would indicate Ip Man's life in the
most humanisnya side. There is no one style of Ip Man who beat teen super
Japanese soldiers with his bare hands alone. No Ip Man is also the
contemplative is just sitting around staring at a blank while thinking of a
woman in love with a fictional story. Herman Yau with extracting clever
storytelling through flashbacks from Ip Chun Young who compiled this story from
memory chips.Please visit here
Because of this
kind of storytelling Herman Yau is also able to cover the deficiencies in the
film Ip Man. Here Yau raise sensitive themes in the life of Ip Man, which was
never mentioned in the previous films such as the addictive opiate and his
attitude to Bruce Lee. Because of all of this is told from memory Ip Chun, the
audience could only understand if Ip Man portrayed more positive than negative
terms. However a child will be given a positive thing instead of his father? Ip
Man figure is always depicted go with the flow was the reason why he was so
relaxed just responding to Bruce Lee Wing Chun tamper into a new stream of Jet
Kune Do's
The film is
certainly not free from shortcomings. Once again at the climax of this movie
Herman Yau seems to require aging actor Anthony Wong beat jumped right to the
left and beat the aging actor unfortunately despite best efforts still not a
Donnie Yen. As a result fistfight scene in this film is not shock both in terms
of choreography and in terms of cinematography than Ip Man films or works of
Wilson Yip Wong Kar Wai. On the other hand both once Anthony Wong appear in the
portion of the drama that did not require him to spend moves of Wing Chun. In
her always highlighted a senior figure at the same calmness that attempting to
save any thing in him. In contrast with that when Donnie Yen look like an idiot
brooding, Anthony Wong has a face and an aura, the face of someone who has been
eating acid salt of life. And outside the actor-artist Anthony Wong others as
disciples of Ip Man here was less than the maximum appearance. Were able to
steal the attention it only artist Zhou Chuchu as Jenny, is actually less
popular than Gillian Chung or Jordan Chan.
