Since the
success of the film Taken in 2008, the first name of Liam Neeson suddenly
became very popular and she continued to get good projects as main or
supporting character. If the portion of a supporting character, Neeson dare to
show that he can perform in a wide variety of films ranging from popcorn-flick
Battleship-style beans and three logic Titans, lend voice to animated films, to
fall into an independent project (you guys should check out Five Minutes of
Heaven, it's good). Unfortunately when Liam Neeson choose projects in which he
had to act as the lead actor, he almost always chose the same figure as Bryan
Mills in Taken.Just look at his resume the lead actor in recent years: Taken 2, Unknown, and Non-Stop now. You could say apart from The Grey all roles are acted Neeson is a role that is similar but not the same as Bryan Mills. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. Remember not only Liam Neeson are like this. Action actors Arnold Schwarzenegger era of the 1980s such as Sylvester Stallone and practically define their career in stereotype roles. Neeson can still do it well in this movie?
William 'Bill'
Marks is the name of the figure, played by Neeson in the film. In flight from
America to England Neeson getting a message on the plane. Before you ask why he
did not turn off his cell phone, his work is an Air Marshall (police plane that
is responsible for maintaining the security of flight). A passenger quietly
stated that he would kill one passenger in the aircraft every 20 minutes if he
did not obey his orders, namely the transfer of 150 million USD.
When Bill was
asked to track the number of accounts threatening so shocked when he realized
that the account number given by the threatening it is hers! Given the career
of Bill himself while working as an enforcer of justice not clean up this very
fact makes the compatriots on the ground wondering: maybe the threat messages
were purely imaginary Bill while he was someone who wanted to be the hijackers? Please Visit Here
Non-Stop begins
with convincing by the director Jaume Collet-Serra. This is the second time
Collet-Serra and collaborate Neeson after Unknown. There shall bear the
distinctive signature Collet-Serra in this film by describing the film in a
dull color palette - reflecting the acting from Liam Neeson that looks like it
is always a melancholy look on his face. Neeson seems really hard to look happy
face huh? As we continue to invited audiences to wonder who the real villain.
Of course a lot of logic holes in this film (how connections on the plane can
fly so smoothly without delay or how colleagues Bill on land so stupid) but how
Collet-Serra hurried move the story could make me forgive him - or at least
close your eyes .
Unfortunately
the scenario of the film began to weaken even when the identity of the
perpetrator caught. Because of reasons of the actors to do what he did in this
film impressed fetched and political motives. Without a clear basis of
motivation, ahead of the opening of the identity of the climax of the movie
feels just like the way the script writers express their political ideology to
the audience. Fortunately, before this film falls apart Collet-Serra getting
directly perform work on the diversion again with an exciting action
choreography climax.
While the acting
from Liam Neeson always solid, I was no longer interested. Endless Neeson as
good as any if it's acting like this movie stuck yes yes going so-so
only. Besides Julianne Moore who also appeared in the film standard other names
are cast in this film is nothing too popular. It looks like it was intentional
so that all suspects nothing stood out. If there are one or two names that are
too popular will actually suspicious person certainly is not it? Oh yes, there
are Lupita Nyong'o who get nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy
Awards event later but this is a movie that he played before 12 Years a Slave
to gain media attention (read: before the name became popular as it is now).
So my conclusion
is ... overall I feel Non-Stop is a film that can satisfy me. This film appears
like a mix of Flightplan and Executive Decision so long as you are willing to
forgo logic and just enjoy the action Neeson then the old man should be satisfied.
It's just come on Liam! Do not you miss playing in the heavyweight films
anymore?
