Watch The Trailers
Sometimes an
artist whose career has been fairly well established but known safe roles want
venturing into indie film world just to show the acting talent that she can not
show in the movies usually. Take for example Drew Barrymore makes people
surprised he could look different from the usual Riding in the Car with Boys or
Anne Hathaway in Havoc. Sometimes the artist succeeded in changing public
perception but sometimes again failed.
Kristen Bell is known as a rising young artist through the series Veronica
Mars; although his career on the big screen during this stuck in stagnant
roles, Bell did not give up. In the film The Lifeguard she wants to show the
quality of his acting. How is the result?Leigh was nearing the age of three but instead he heads more stable with the direction her life now she is more hesitant. He was confused about where to go while his career as a journalist instead make him more hated by himself. Leigh eventually took the drastic decision to quit his job and then returned to her hometown. He hopes that by returning to live with his parents, and met with his old friends back then he could find his way.
To be able to
finance his life Leigh worked as a Lifeguard (security guard) in the pool. He also
reunited with old friends like Mel and Todd, respectively also are struggling
with their quarter-life crisis. Not only met with his old friend, Leigh no
warning also get new friends Matt and Jason are both often hang out at the pool
Leigh duty. How Leigh and her friends cope with quarter-life crisis that they
face?
The film is
supposed to be very striking with my life since the age of Leigh exactly the
same as me when watching it. At first it was so, I can feel and understand the
struggles that Leigh was not sure what direction my life considering myself
also not a hundred percent sure of the path of my life (lo? why even so vent?).
However, the scenario written by Liz W. Garcia who is also a director of this
film lost its appeal after the initial third of the film. After this film
provides an interesting setup for existing characters and the struggles they
faced it then do not advance the existing conflicts, but instead make their way
somewhere.Please visit here
Conflict within
Mel and Todd as a friend Leigh example just discussed in the repeated
repetition until now bored. Okay, Mel having problems in her marriage. Okay,
Todd was confused with his identity. So what? What actions taken by both of
them and how we as the audience can learn or look of their development? But
Garcia never attempts to describe and explore this conflict in more depth.
The same money
with Leigh. As the main character in this story he does have he does have a
good story with old friends, new friends, to his parents. But what he did
during the lonely feel strange and forced. On the other hand men do with age
that makes this film so much criticism is not entirely my care. Hey, when it
comes to women who are dating each other with underage men in Indonesia too
much anyway. Could it be way too flat Garcia raised this conflict ultimately it
makes me not care about the main conflict of this movie? The only actor I know
in this movie is Kristen Bell and her acting here standard. If Bell hopes that
this film will make it flooded offer more challenging roles clearly does not.
