The wolf of wallstreet

Watch The Trailers
Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio reunite after three years. Both last time working together through the film Shutter Island in the year 2010 and achieved great success. Having collaborated with Christopher Nolan, Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrman then, DiCaprio finally returned to play under the direction of partner-in-crime of his. Lifted from a book biography of Jordan Belfort, The Wolf of Wall Street is a depiction of the life of hedonism of the insanely successful stockbroker.

When starting a job as a stockbroker in the company LF Rothschild Jordan Belfort did not know how crazy the world is. He is still a snot-nosed kid who is guided by his mentor Mark Hanna. Unfortunately for Belfort, shortly after he entered the company, the company went bankrupt because of the economic disaster of Black Monday in 1987 Belfort's almost given up following the stock, but his wife convinced him to try again, this time on a small scale in Long Island. With experience Belfort who used to talk to the big guys, selling shares to the 'ordinary' is an easy thing for Belfort. With a much larger commission Belfort can become rich quickly.
Basically Belfort is ambitious and want to continue to advance his career. This opportunity he got when meeting with Donnie Azoff. Donnie was a salesman who really want to succeed as Belfort so willing to be subordinate. Both started the new stock brokerage firm - become their own boss. The company is Stratton Oakmont. In practice, Stratton Oakmont actually fool a lot of people with their share sale schemes are devious. Money generated for Belfort (and its partners) is enormous but also make targeted by the FBI. On the other hand money is a source of happiness but also the root of evil and lifestyle Belfort was getting crazy ...Please visit here
This film offers a life style that embraces the ideology of hedonism. Have fun with the manner and as crazy as crazy as possible. That's the problem for Belfort and his friends. Because they are constantly taking money then they are confused about the money . Hence they buy whatever they want: homes, yachts, helicopters, unusually expensive jewelry. Anything. Not content to just enjoy the luxury world, Jordan and his colleagues call the women, having sex with a girl here and there until then uses drugs to help them feel more powerful sensation.
All this is presented with a humorous manner by director Martin Scorcese but at the same time in an ironic way. Through contemplation in this film as if the director wanted to ask us: Jordan says that she chose to be rich than poor, but whether such a rich life he lived now is happiness? If the poor people who desperately raising money to seek treatment when sick, ironic look at Jordan's rich spending spree just to ruin her own money.
Unfortunately Scorcese seems too busy to highlight the life of luxury from Belfast so that he forgot to balance the business side of Wall Street. I was a little disappointed there are a few times in the film business this explanation as an explanation when the IPO will be cut off for a moment and then instantly just by Scorcese described as being illegal. I actually want that portion luxuries in this film slightly reduced then the portion of the business, which in the early half of the film is quite dominant, plus the last part of the film.
Although the film had two nominations in the acting categories of Jonah Hill for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor Leonardo DiCaprio for I feel that this film really belongs to a Leo. His performance started from the beginning that geeky, to be drunk with drugs, to turn into an orator reliable performance ... all this was done by Leo to the fullest. Range of emotions and performance that made Leo really great so I am not surprised that the veteran actor is once again entered in a row nominated for Best Actor, something he did last time in 2007 through the film Blood Diamond. For the second time in his career Leo won the Golden Globe in collaboration with Martin Scorsese (the first through The Aviator), whether this be the year's moment to shine also get an Oscar?
Outside appearance of Leo there are two people who also stole my attention in this movie. One is Jonah Hill, who is also a nice and solid to figure Leo companion throughout the film. The other is Jordan mentor early in his career: Mark Hanna, played by Matthew McConaughey. It is a pity indeed McConaughey appearance here is very solid though relatively brief. Funny, the toughest rival Leo at the Oscars later McConaughey also many critics praised through performance in Dallas Buyers Club.

So my conclusion is ... The Wolf of Wall Street is a celebration of the power of money. Money, money, and more money. All the happiness that money can buy happiness ... happiness is ephemeral or real? Overall it was great just to be assessed by any beings who watch this movie. Which clearly do not miss one of the best films of the year. This is one of Leo's finest moments this year, nay, in his career.
