Metro Manila

Watch The Trailers
Strangers often mistaken about Manila and Metro Manila. There is a considerable difference between the two. Manila is one of the cities in the Metro Manila. Metro Manila itself is a combination of many districts (in the Philippines called the city) such as Manila, Makati, Malabon, Paranaque, and many, many others. If still confused, just think of Metro Manila as Jabotabek while Manila is just one part of it such as the municipality of North Jakarta or Tangerang. In Metro Manila residents faced difficulties every day; ranging from flooding every year in the rainy season approached, stalled due to jeepney (public transportation) and public buses that stop their own wishes as regarded street in the city is theirs, and of course the imbalance of social status. It is not surprising to see poor people of Metro Manila living in slum areas, connecting lives day after day, while the rich people partying every night at the Night Club.

Arguably Metro Manila is a city that is cruel to those who lack but somehow he remains the main attraction of many Filipinos on the outside to stay logged speculate there. One of them is Oscar Ramirez Mai with his wife and two children. Oscar used to be a farmer in Banaue province (the province is located on the island of Luzon, an island with Metro Manila) but the price of rice is increasing pressure makes it difficult to survive while farming. Finally, Oscar was desperate to bring his family went to the city, hoping to find employment and get a better life. Unfortunately for Oscar plain since coming to Manila he and his family became victim of fraud and increasingly destitute.
Luckily for Oscar his luck began to change when he meets with a security officer named Ong. Oscar Ong offer for a job as a security officer and a steel drive around carrying valuables or money from one place to another. The work is very risky and endanger lives, especially since the Philippines - in contrast to Indonesia - allowing guns sold more freely. In other words, robbery with a firearm here is much more common than in Indonesia. But because Oscar had no other choice then keep coming. Does Oscar and his family will continue to survive the savage terrain Metro Manila, or they will give up and decided to go home to the province quieter? Please visit here
I do not know what to call this film movie Philippines or not. Similar to the case of The Raid in Indonesia, the film is fully speak Filipino (Tagalog dominant) and played by actors in the Philippines but is directed by a British director Sean Ellis. Cultivation of Sean Ellis serious and very realistic approach to making the film Metro Manila is directly felt grounded for the audience. So realistic cultivation Ellis makes me sometimes feel like watching a documentary of the life of the security guard with all the hardship they face. Ellis courage to shoot in places too shabby I give thumb.
Although the film shows the social and political situation in the Philippines either implicitly or explicitly in which there is the story enthralling crime drama written by Sean Ellis and Frank E. Flowers. The crime drama has elements in it including a surprise twist at the end of the film depends on the arrest can be contrasted with the realistic tone throughout the movie or be a satisfying conclusion to the fate of Ramirez's family.
The acting in this film is played very well by the actors actually less popular in the Philippines here. Jake Macapagal, Althea Vega, and John Arcilla are three figures who play an important role here, and in particular I would like to refer to Jake Macapagal and John Arcilla are acting riveting. Macapagal and Arcilla is suitable to describe the stresses of life are more and more severe and choke their different ways are taken by both to solve the problems they face. Slick chemistry between the senior - junior evolved into this friendship into the lives of the film's Metro Manila. The only weak point in the film is the role of Althea Vega is less convincing as Mai Ramirez, Oscar's wife.

So conclusion is ... very nice. Hard to believe that a director of the British mainland is able to capture the city of Metro Manila complete with all the hope offered to the immigrants but also the brutal reality for those who have been housed in it is very appropriate and fitting. This film not only I recommend to you guys who want to watch a good movie crime drama but also for those who wish to view the one of the largest cities in Southeast Asia, and all the problems it faces.
