From the beginning I was watching the
trailer of About Time I instantly fell in love with it. There is something
special it feels to see a loser, played by Domhnall Gleeson (if it's because
he's familiar face actor who plays Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows Part 1 and 2) pursue love in Rachel McAdams. Curiosity and want to
watch more and more upset after hearing that the film is directed by Richard
Curtis who is also the author of directors of several other kinds of my
favorite romantic movie Notting Hill and Love Actually. About Time also will be
the last film for the director who decided to retire after this. So is About
Time is his best work?
Team life changed completely after he
celebrated his 21st birthday How not? Birthday when his father tells him that
he has the ability to go back in time. Although do not know about the exact
details of desperate teams try and was surprised when he saw that his father
did not lie. Since the team was often try reversing his back and tried to fix the
mistakes that he did. And so on until when the team then meets a girl named
Mary. Mary is a girl who is perfect for Tim but because of a mistake instead
team turn back time and undo his encounter with Mary.
Slowly but surely the team also learned
that could return to the past does not mean he could fix everything wrong in
his life. He also learned that there are consequences of continuing to travel
back to the past. By knowing what dangers of time travel is desperate team will
continue to do so? Is he going to make time travel a little too often so make a
fatal mistake that can not be changed by it or he can actually find other
benefits - even how to live a life as possible - from doing time travel?
You could say I am a bit cheated when
watching the trailer About Time. I had assumed it would be like Click, but in
the form of a rom-com. I was wrong. The concept of time travel does exist in
this film and the team is doing it to get close to Mary but the climax of their
relationship will happen much much faster before the climax of the movie is
reached. One could even say the relationship of Tim and Mary is already
completed when unearthed half the movie running. Then what is the contents of
the About Time is it exactly? None other than the life of the team. In other
words, not only his love relationship with Mary only this movie but also a
relationship-focused team with his brother and the Kit Kat is the most
attention is the relationship with his father Tim, who played in a very - very
nicely by Bill Nighy. No exaggeration when I say Nighy is a scene stealer in
this film, almost always steal the laughter - and emotion - the audience every

So what about the two main actors in
this movie: Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams? To Domhnall Glesson he
established himself as an actor who could star in a rom-com movie with good
looks geeky. He was once cast as a figure matched the loser with his movements
were timid and misguided love. However, as is becoming more mature character,
Gleeson also can display a wider range of emotions in his acting from both
facial expression and body gestures. Rachel McAdams itself is the queen of
rom-com so it is not surprising sweet girl next door look of her makes it so
easy to make the audience fall in love with her man. It is difficult to
imagine that ten years ago he actually Mean Girls cast as the bitchy girl and
the girl Lindsay Lohan as well.
