Illicit drugs such as marijuana,
ecstasy, heroin, and various kinds is a scourge that has gnawed the world for
many years. Almost all states prohibit the trafficking of drugs like this, some
countries even longer overtly impose the death penalty for people who
circulate, wear, even carrying drugs. But it does not make the trafficking of
drugs like this to stop. Instead they were trafficking drugs is increasing in
volume from year to year. Is the drug war (war against drugs) conducted by the
United States did not succeed?
Matthew Cooke became director who
decided to raise this topic in his documentary: How to Make Money Selling
Drugs. However, unlike the usual documentary format Matthew Cooke fun working
on this documentary-style video games. Premise is not to explain to you about
how dangerous drug but rather challenging the audience to sell drugs and get
rich. It makes this documentary is not merely felt as a documentary but as a
film guide to become rich by selling drugs.
From there, Matthew Cooke began to
explain the stages of drug trafficking. If you want to get started you will
start from the bottom as a small-time drug dealers. If equity is higher then
you can become a distributor territory. The richer again then you can become a
distributor of the entire area . Throughout each phase of this explanation
Matthew Cooke explained nothing about the dangers at every stage. Take for
example if you're just small-time drug dealer then Cooke explained how
important you get permission from the person who has the authority of drug
trafficking in the territory. Conversely if you are already a local distributor
Cooke explains the dangers of smell the police in catching your truck when
delivering goods.
Not only describes the distribution of
this drug alone, Cooke also explained how the ineffective war on drugs is
carried out by the United States for many years. Until more than a few decades
narcotic banned in America, year after year more and more raids drug users but
ironically it does not make use of in the United States slowed. Instead America
actually has one of the largest user in the world! Cooke observed that the
growing expenditure for the drug war and the presence of narcotics is itself a
vicious circle romp without ever existed immediately following.
The film is a bit of weakness at the end
of the movie experience when Cooke finally started to give moral advice-advice
to the audience about the dangers of drugs and how even though they could get
so much money from it (up to tens of millions of USD) is still not commensurate
with the consequences of what they do . To further make this message strikes
Cooke even took some well-known artists such as Woody Harrelson and Eminem to
deliver. While it was not bad I feel really rather contrast with the narrative
style of video games that are already familiar to the audience until then.
