The Lone Ranger

The days where The Lone Ranger is a popular past-time in which I was born. Although I was a child when the series was screened on TV popularity is receding so that I am more interested to watch the spectacle of a small child such as the Black Knights Steel and Power Rangers. The demise of the popularity of The Lone Ranger was not just happening here in America, but also there as evidenced by the absence of a new variant of the serial that worked for decades. This finally changed after Disney studio commissioned a successful team working on The Pirates of the Caribbean to resurrect this franchise.

Outside of World War Z The Lone Ranger is probably the film that has the greatest bad buzz before he was released. The film is considered to be very problematic during filming even almost canceled because of a budget that is considered one priority soar too high. Even when the film is finally successfully finished filming and trailer released was not interested in the public interest to him. Movie reviews from Rotten Tomatoes website also immerses the film in a negative sentiment. Is this movie really that bad?
After years of studying law and become a barrister John Reid went home back to her hometown. In the train he was riding John does not know that there are actually two criminals in it: an Indian Tonto and Butch Cavendish who was one of the most ruthless villains in the history of the wild wild west. Because the error John Butch managed to escape and run away. John did not have time to linger stay in his hometown because of this and join with his brother Dan Reid to pursue Butch herd.
Unfortunately, the chase is not going smoothly. And, John, and a group of law enforcement (ranger) others were swept away by Butch and criminal herd. John was presumed dead marginalized. After all bullets are not too exact make John's life was saved by the timely first aid from Tonto. John started wearing a black mask was transformed into the Lone Ranger. Can the Lone Ranger and Tonto herd chasing Butch and would avenge the deaths of the other ranger?
One of the negative sentiment this film is that it was always stated as The Pirates of the Caribbean version of the cowboy. I do not think it's entirely appropriate. The Lone Ranger does have some funny adventures of Jack Sparrow style but apart from that he is a self-contained stand-alone movie. People fear that this will be too focused on the movie because of Johnny Depp's Tonto is much more famous than Armie Hammer was not proven. Yes Tonto figure this time is more than just a sidekick but I feel both have a balanced position without excessively cannibalize a portion of the opponent.
Given the theme of the film with mixed wild wild west fantasy lately rarely made me very satisfied with the action set-piece in the film. Exciting and feels quite different from other summer movies I watch and most of the theme of the superhero / futuristic. One of the most captivating highlight of this film comes from the climactic scene on a train frenetic accompanied with music by Hans Zimmer is very creative combining classical music 'William Tell Overture' by touch alone. It is difficult to refrain from clapping after a very satisfying climax that!
However, The Lone Ranger was not a perfect movie. Duration for more than two and a half hours to make the pacing of this film feels so sluggish at certain points. I so often feel bored in the middle of the movie because the plot was dragging. Tone of the film is sometimes a stumbling block for me. Some times I feel that the mood of the film is supposed to be created serious emotional character that could be passed on to the audience interrupted by issued humor to lighten the mood. As a result of this sudden change in tone makes emotional scenes that no less an impression on the heart.
For its own ranks, casting Johnny Depp once again become a bright star in the film. Many have said that Depp's role here is similar to Jack Sparrow. For those who say so I invite to watch the pirate kwadrilogy again because it was obvious that Depp's role here is very different. Stating they were the same as saying that the role of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Sherlock Holmes alike. How much ya morons who do not understand the difference between acting as an actor and acting style? Unfortunately charisma of Depp here have not been able to be matched by Armie Hammer who sometimes still miss the comedic timing. Watching the imbalance between Depp and Hammer Depp as a discrepancy between the first Bloom in the Pirates trilogy.

Outside the two main actors Helena Bonham Carter is surprisingly only appeared sporadically as a supporter of this film alone. I also do not like to Ruth Wilson. Already older, less beautiful and very stiff acting makes me feel that he is the biggest miscasting for this film. Were able to steal the show even William Fichtner who appear quite convincing as an antagonist Butch Cavendish. Tom Wilkinson also complete line of casting this movie with a fairly impressive acting.
